American Turkish Chamber of Commerce & Industry Press Release

American Turkish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ATCCI) has been established to increase Turkey’s exports with the United States of America and to contribute to the development of commercial ties between Turkey and the United States.

A private, non-profit membership organization, ATCCI aims to develop joint initiatives and trade relations between Turkey and the United States through supporting trade and investment activities of our members and by promoting their services and products. By organizing a wide range of services, training programs, seminars, online tools and events, ATCCI provides organizations with guidance, information and various tools and resources to promote themselves, reach potential customers and suppliers, and achieve their goals.

Under the leadership of ATCCI, trade volume between the USA and Turkey has reached 13.96 billion USD in the first eight months of 2020, increasing approximately 3.5% on an annual basis despite the negative economic effects of the global pandemic.

In order to take concrete steps towards achieving the target trade volume of 100 billion dollars between the two countries, ATCCI believes that there are important opportunities in the sectors of e-commerce, health and garment industry for Turkish exporters
especially considering the impact of trade wars between the USA and CHINA.

Taking these developments into account and to help increase the trade between the two countries more rapidly, ATCCI has undergone a major legal restructuring and has organized itself under two separate not-for-profit entities on the East and West coast of the United States:

New York-based ATCCI East, chaired by Alex Demirhan Demir, has started operations with experienced teams, especially in sectors such as tourism, hotel equipment, construction, building materials, retail and medical areas. ATCCI East is active in the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina along the Eastern coastline of the United States.

Seattle-based ATCCI West, chaired by Kurt Gokhan Olcer, supports Turkish companies that aim to enter the US market, especially with its experience and collaborations in e-commerce, textile, aviation, retail, medical, health and food industries. ATCCI West is active in the states of California, Washington and Oregon along the US West coastline, as well as in the states of Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.
